Fiesta ST-2

Here is what the ST-2 specification included, showing the exterior features, the interior, the mechanicals and what options were available. Including revisions as time went by.

When the Fiesta Mk.7 ST was launched, there were only two trim levels available for the first year. The ST-2 was the higher level of trim and gave more in every sense. The buyer could pick and chose what options they wanted to add, meaning ST-2's out there today feature a mixture of many options.

When the ST-3 came out, the ST-2 still proved to be popular due to it's lower price and ability to add particular options to suit ones needs.

Production of the Fiesta Mk.7 ST-2 started from January 2013 and ended in April 2017 - with a total of 15587 ST-2's being produced.

Exterior lighting

The ST-2 featured Halogen projector headlights with Silver bezel and LED daytime running lights.
The rear lights were standard fitment across all ST variants, with bulbs used for all lighting applications.
Revision: From September 2015 the entire Fiesta range adopted a new style rear light unit.

It still featured bulb fitments for most functions, but LED's were used to power the new style side-lights.

This was to coincide with the launch of the new Ford Mustang with it's famous 'fin' type rear light design which Ford designers adopted from the original 1960's Mustang.

Privacy glass
The privacy glass was standard fitment on the ST-2 from the factory.

This window tint was applied to the rear window and rear side windows.

ST body styling

Ford advertised the Fiesta ST as having a Unique ST-design body styling kit and large rear spoiler.

This meant you got a unique ST style front bumper, side skirts, boot spoiler and ST style rear bumper.
The front bumper was unique to the Fiesta ST.

All ST variants used the same ST body styling kit.

This differed to others by its shape to accommodate the intercooler and had the only grille in the Fiesta range to wear a badge.
The rear bumper style was unique to the ST but it's component parts were common items.

The diffuser and coloured splitter were unique to the ST, but this was just an insert placed into a common bumper moulding used across the Fiesta range.

The corner lower pieces were common pieces and used also on the Zetec-S/ST-line models.
The side skirts added to the sporty look of the ST but again were a common item.

The side skirt design was still the one being used from the 2008 Fiesta Zetec-S, which was also used on the current Zetec-S/ST-Line models.
The large boot spoiler gave the ST it's unique look and finished off the body styling kit nicely.

It featured a brake light which is the same as the one used on the Focus of the same age.

But again it was the same item from the 2008 Zetec-S and current models.
As mentioned the ST had the only grille in the Fiesta range to wear a badge.

This was held on by adhesive, as was the rear badge on the bootlid.

While the grille badge was placed in a perfectly placed cut-out in the honeycomb grille.

The rear badge was aligned by a spacer at the factory when applied.

Door handles
The door handles on all ST variants were of the smooth design as standard from the factory.

This also included the visible door lock on the drivers door handle.
You could upgrade to Keyless Entry as part of the Convenience Pack for a cost of £ 300.

This pack then changed the door handle design to include a line and also a button. The button was used to lock/unlock the vehicle instead of the key fob.

For more on the Convenience Pack, see the Options sections below.

ST wheels

The ST range had it's own 'ST-style' alloy wheels.

These were 17 inches in diameter, by 7 inches wide.

For more information, head over to our specifications page for the Mk.7 ST.
All Fiesta Mk.7 ST variants came from the factory with silver coloured 17 inch alloy wheels.

Option: You could upgrade to the 'Style Pack' which included dark grey coloured alloy wheels.

Included in this pack were red brake callipers.

The price for this option was £ 250, but later increased to £ 275 in mid-2015.

For more on the Style Pack and it's contents, see the options section at the bottom of this page.

Exhaust

The exhaust on the ST was a mild steel construction and combined with the sound symposer, gave a nice sporty sound.
While sounding sporty is one thing, the exhaust has to also look sporty.

The ST has a unique dual chrome exhaust, which fits neatly under the rear diffuser in a designated cut out.

It really finishes off the sporty look and is the only Fiesta in the range to have a visible exhaust.

Seats

The interior in the ST-2 was only available in partial leather trim. This was considered a premium item compared to the fabric seats available to the ST-1.
The seat trim in the ST-2 was called Protection, and was made up of Torino leather in Charcoal Black, with the Soft Lux material and stitching being coloured.

The Soft Lux material and stitching could either be Storm Grey.
Or Molten Orange.

The Storm Grey  coloured seats were available with any Body Colour in the range.

But the Molten Orange Soft Lux coloured seats were not available with the Body Colours of Race Red and Spirit Blue.
The partial leather Recaro seats were complimented by the fact they were heated.

This was a standard feature on the ST-2 and the buttons had a two-stage temperature setting.

Scuff plates
All ST variants came with the 'ST' scuff plates as found on the sill as you open the door.

If you didn't have the Style Pack fitted, these sill plates did not illuminate.

Heater

The heater system in the ST-2 was the same as the ST-2 but an upgrade option was available.
The ST-2 came with a heater system which featured manual air conditioning.

This was the standard type heater set up that was used across much of the Fiesta range, including the ST-1.

There was an option to upgrade to the Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) heater system.

This was available for a price of £ 275.

Key
The ST-2 came with two key fobs which included a hidden key. The key was not needed as it was fitted with the Ford Power Start button.
The key fob meant there was no ignition barrel to insert a key into.

You just had to depress the clutch, while pressing the Ford Power Start button, to then start the car.

Radio

The ST-2 was fitted with a premium sound system compared to the ST-1, which included a different display screen.
The radio fitted to the ST-2 variant was the Sony DAB radio & CD player. This was a 6-speaker audio system with a 4.2-inch colour screen.
This featured Ford SYNC Bluetooth connection with voice control, USB port, and Ford Emergency Assistance.
There was an option to upgrade the radio to add satellite navigation.

This included a larger 5-inch TFT display and made it an 8-speaker audio system.

The price for this option was £ 400.
The housing around the display screen differed with the navigation option.

The SD card for the system was located above the larger screen.

Optional extras available

Style Pack
The Style Pack came in at £ 250 and included:

- The standard silver wheels changed to a dark grey colour.
- The brake callipers were changed from bare metal to painted red.
- The 'ST' scuff plates were now illuminating.

The price later increased to £ 275

Adjustable boot load floor
The adjustable boot load floor was an option to all the Fiesta ST variants.
It featured a split floor concept which could be removed and laid flat in the lower floor to make use of the whole boot space if needed.

This was available at a price of £ 75

Spare wheel
From the factory all ST models came with the Tyre Repair Kit. Which is basically a canister of foam and a pump.

Ford produced a 14-inch by 5.5-inch 'full size' spare wheel for the Fiesta range, but a 15-inch by 4-inch 'space-saver' was the only available spare wheel for the Fiesta ST.

This was an option at a price of £ 100.

Head rest
There was an option to add an extra head restraint to the centre of the rear seat. This was available to all seat types on all Fiesta ST variants.

The price for this option was £ 50.

Auto lights & wipers
There was an option to add automatic headlights, automatic windscreen wipers and an automatically dimming rear view mirror.
The wipers operated by communicating with a rain sensor just behind the rear view mirror.
While the automatic headlights also used the sensor on the windscreen, the switch differed to the normal fitment.

All this was an option you could add for £150.

SD-Navigation
There was an option to upgrade the radio to add satellite navigation.

This included a larger 5-inch TFT display and made it an 8-speaker audio system.

The price for this option was £ 400.

EATC
You could upgrade from the manual air-conditioning to the electronic controls.

This was called the Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) and could be added for a price of £275.

Cruise control
You had the option to add cruise control to the ST-2. This was controlled via buttons on the steering wheel.

This was at an added cost of £ 150.

Convenience Pack
This consisted of Keyless entry and power-foldable Door Mirrors with Puddle lights.

This was visible by the locking button on the outer door handle, and the mirror control having the fold operation.

This was an option at a cost of £300.

Parking sensors
Rear parking sensors were offered as an option on the ST-2. This consisted of 4 sensors mounted across the rear bumper and being colour coded to the body colour.
The factory fitted sensors were linked to the 'Park Pilot' which displayed on the radio screen when reverse gear was selected. This also lowered the music volume so you could hear the beeps.

This option was available at a cost of £ 200.

Reversing camera
The rear view camera was an option from mid 2016 onwards, and displayed on the radio screen.

It was fed by the camera which was located next to the tailgate handle.

The price for this option was £ 250.
