Wheel Colours

The alloy wheel colours changed many times during the 4-year production cycle.

From production start there were two wheel colour choices.

The Style Pack, if chosen, included a dark grey wheel colour, whereas you had silver wheels if not.

Here we will show the dates that the colour changes occurred, along with the name changes.

2013 onwards

The standard wheel colour was silver and just referred to as 'Silver'.

The part number for this wheel is:  1815510

The Style Pack wheel colour was dark grey and referred to as 'Rado Grey'.

The part number for this wheel is:  1848178

2015 onwards

The standard wheel colour was now called 'Rado Grey' but was a slightly darker silver than before.

The Style Pack dark grey colour had turned very dark with a hint of blue and now called 'Rock Metallic'.

The part number listed for this wheel is:  1884863

2016 onwards

The standard wheel colour was now called 'Flash Grey' and kept the same colour as the 2015 change.

The part number for this wheel is:  2036585

The Style Pack dark grey colour was lightened slightly and still called 'Rock Metallic'.

ST-200 wheels

The ST-200 featured one wheel type which was matt black with a machined face.

The part number for this wheel is:  2025167

This is a guide based on our own extensive research. Even Ford part numbers are bringing back slightly different results as certain cars were made at either end of the timescales provided as the colours crossed-over.

But there are a couple of ways to get a more accurate date of when your wheels were manufactured, and what colour they are most likely to be.

The information is on the wheel itself, some people will swap wheels onto different cars making it hard to tell what year car they are from.

Simply look at the rear of the wheel and on one of the spokes you will see casting marks from when it was manufactured.

Bearing in mind the ST had a fast production with a lot of units sold, these wheels did not sit around for any length of time thus confusing when they were fitted to a vehicle.

This information here shows a manufacture date of June 2016.

For even more accurate information, you need to have the tyre removed.

On the wheel face which is situated under the tyre, is a code which is lasered on once the wheel is painted.

This gives an exact date and time when the wheel is ready to be sent out to the production line to be mated to it's allocated vehicle.

The information here is a date of 19.06.16 at a time of 05:29:49. Which coincides with the information on the date stamp element above.
